Continuing education for finance professionals and controllers

You already work in finance (controlling, accounting, audit, analysis) and you feel that day-to-day work is pulling you away from strategic topics. Company valuation, investment selection, modeling: these are the skills that move you from control to steering. Sagora structures that transition.

What you want to solve

  • Move beyond monthly reporting to weigh in upstream on strategic trade-offs
  • Master a rigorous valuation method (discounted cash flows, cost of capital and its pitfalls) and know how to position multiples as market benchmarks, to defend it before a CODIR or a bank
  • Make the leap to a credible CFO or business partner role

What you walk away with

  • The valuation methods used in M&A and fundraising: DCF as the central method, comparables as market benchmarks
  • An investment project selection framework that holds up against the pressure of "it'll work out"
  • A business partner posture backed by the figures, not by a job description

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Part B and the complete Finance for Managers program?

Part B (4 days) directly targets the valuation of projects and companies: it assumes a command of Part A (diagnosis). If you are already comfortable with the fundamentals of financial diagnosis, Part B alone is enough. Otherwise, the complete program (Part A + Part B, 11 days) can be booked in a single registration; the fee is the sum of the two parts.

Is the content suitable for an audience that is already in accounting?

Yes. The trainers (Mathias Schmit, Ghadi Kahil, Benjamin Lorent) come from Solvay Brussels School and from CFO/M&A practice. The pace is adjusted for participants who already master the mechanics of financial statements: we move straight into modeling and decision-making.

Is there a recognized certificate upon completion?

Yes: a SAGORA certificate of completion, valuable on LinkedIn and in an internal promotion file. The programmes are taught by professors who also teach at the Solvay Brussels School (ULB).
