Finance training for managers and directors

You lead a team, a BU or a subsidiary. The CFO talks EBITDA, working capital, BFR, and you lose the thread. Not out of incompetence, but because no one has ever explained these levers to you the way an operational manager actually encounters them, in concrete decisions.

What you want to solve

  • Defend a budget or an investment project before the finance department without getting trapped on the assumptions
  • Read the monthly indicators I am sent and understand which ones really matter for my BU
  • Choose between hiring, investing or repaying debt, with figures, not a gut feeling

What you walk away with

  • A reading framework for the income statement and the balance sheet tailored to your decision level
  • A method to build and defend an annual budget without being put on the spot
  • A simple framework to assess an investment project: NPV as the reference, IRR, and discounted payback as a safeguard

Frequently asked questions

Do you need a finance background to follow a Sagora training for managers?

No. Part A (Diagnosis, planning, management) starts from the fundamentals and is designed for non-financial profiles who lead teams or budgets. More than 60% of our participants have no formal finance background.

How many days should you plan for?

The reference format for managers is the complete Part A (3+2+2 days, i.e. 7 days spread over a few weeks). If you are very constrained, a single module of 2-3 days (Module 1 Diagnosis or Module 2 Budget) already delivers an immediate ROI.

Can my company fund the training through public support?

Yes, in Luxembourg via the INFPC (Sagora is accredited). In Belgium, accreditation is under way: regional support will be available shortly.
