Jean-Philippe Michaux is CFO and Group Director Finance, ICT & Legal Affairs of Puratos Group, a global player in bakery, patisserie and chocolate ingredients. In 2025 he was named Trends CFO of the Year, an award organised by Trends, Trends-Tendances and Kanaal Z, whose independent jury praised his long-term vision, strategic impact and the strength of the group’s financial performance. A commercial engineer graduated from the Solvay Brussels School (ULB), he first spent ten years at PwC, advising numerous international groups on mergers, demergers and IFRS conversions. He joined Puratos in November 2010 in internal audit, held various positions in the finance and sustainability teams from 2013, and became Group CFO in April 2014. He also teaches in Executive Education at the Solvay Brussels School. At Sagora, he leads the "Management control and cost analysis" module of the Finance for managers programme, sharing the day-to-day practice of an international group CFO: steering costs, margins and performance in the service of strategy.
