Financial management training

Financial Management Training Courses for Managers

Sagora delivers financial management training courses designed for managers and executives who make decisions without a formal finance background. Since 2006 we have trained leaders across Belgium and Luxembourg to read financial statements, build and steer budgets, control costs and assess investments with confidence. Programmes are led by senior instructors who combine an academic career — several are professors at the Université libre de Bruxelles / Solvay Brussels School — with hands-on corporate finance practice. Courses run in person in central Brussels and in Luxembourg City, and can also be delivered in-company at your premises, in English. The curriculum is modular: take a single module to close a specific gap, or follow the full track from financial diagnosis through valuation and financing.

Programme

What the courses cover

The financial management curriculum is built from five modules. Each is self-contained, so you can start where it matters most. The diagnosis and budgeting modules assume no prior finance knowledge; valuation and financing build on them.

3 days

Financial diagnosis

Read and interpret financial statements, assess profitability, liquidity and solvency, and turn the annual accounts into decisions. No prior finance background required.

2 days

Budgeting & financial planning

Build budgets and forecasts, model cash flows and steer performance against plan with the right management indicators.

2 days

Cost control

Understand cost structures, margins and break-even, and use cost analysis to support pricing and operational decisions.

2 days

Project & company valuation

Apply investment criteria (NPV, IRR) and value companies and projects using DCF and market multiples. Builds on the diagnosis module.

2 days

Financing & investment decisions

Structure financing, weigh debt vs. equity and frame sound investment decisions for the business.

Your instructors

Solvay professors and finance practitioners

Sessions are led by a team of senior Sagora instructors who pair academic depth with real corporate-finance experience. Several teach at the Université libre de Bruxelles / Solvay Brussels School, and all work as practitioners advising companies, investors and boards. That combination keeps the courses rigorous and grounded in the decisions managers actually face. For tailored or board-level work, Sagora also offers financial advisory and consulting.
