Objectives
Introduction to the basics of financial management
- Introduce managers and executives to the basics of financial management,
- Know how to analyse financial statements and manage cash flow,
- Editing and presenting a financial report.

Interpreting a company's financial statements
- Balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement
- Working capital, working capital requirements and cash flow
- Critical analysis of commonly used ratios
- The sources of performance
- Understanding the difference between accounting and financial analysis
- Why can a company that is profitable from an accounting point of view make a loss and go bankrupt?
Planning your cash requirements
- Assessment of cash flows and cash requirements
- Financial forecasts
- To what extent does the company generate money (not synonymous with making a profit)?
Carrying out a financial analysis
- Study of real company cases
- Sustainable growth threshold in terms of financial resources. Impact of growth on company sales.

Mathias has a PhD in Management Sciences and is a part-time Professor of Finance at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (Université Libre de Bruxelles).
For more than 20 years, Mathias has divided his career between the academic and business worlds. Mathias is also the founder of SAGORA, a consultancy and training company specialising in financial management, microfinance, risk management governance and the impact of Basel II/III banking regulations on the conduct of business.
As a result, it has been or is involved in a number of
numerous institutions such as INSEAD, TiasNimbas, the Amsterdam Institute of Finance
universities of Aix-en-Provence Marseille, Hanoi, Hô-Chi-Minh etc.
He is also a company director.
